Patience & Progress
As hard as it is to admit, or to accept, over a decade of experience has taught us that things will always come and go…ebb and flow.
There are times when we are super active, and completely on top of all of the things. We attend events, host events, take part, and are seen. Then there are times when we retreat, and we focus on us. Whether it’s our own coven, or our tradition, sometimes things just need hibernation and nurturing.
We’re in one of those phases right now. Wild Thorn Hollow, our tradition, is temporarily closed to new members while we have done some clean up and purging of inactive members, and some restructuring to help us re-open our doors with a more clearly defined vision for our future growth, and a strengthened foundation. This has, in effect, meant that Coven of the Tangled Pines has been closed to newcomers as well, and this has been the cause of our relative silence as of late.
We did not take part in Pagan Pride Day this year, which we know some of our tradition members were disappointed about, and which may have kept us from meeting some awesome new people, or having that annual opportunity to reconnect with old friends. However, the time we have spent to turn the focus within and tend to our own metaphorical gardens has been well-spent and productive. We are coming very close to being ready to jump back into the swing of things, and are making plans for some open events in the near future. We’re feeling the call to take part in things again. And so the next phase in this ever-repeating cycle is on the horizon. So stay tuned…here’s hoping we’ll see some of you out and about soon!
